About Nowacking
Jessi “Nowacking” Nowack is an 19-year-old New England based voice actress and comedian. Born in San Fransisco, California, she moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her mother when she was a year old. As Jessi displayed an interest in acting at six years old, her mother enrolled her in Pittsburgh Musical Theater, which she attended for 8 years. Her whole life, she’s loved acting and entertaining and has spent her life honing her skills.
She began voice acting at the age of 15 when she discovered internet parodies called “abridged series.” With the creation of her own
series, (Bobobo the Abridged Series,) other abridgers began requesting her voice for characters in their own series, and she’s been doing it ever since. Having been a stage actress of 9 years beforehand, voice acting became a challenging and fun way of performing that she wanted to give a try. Since then, she has gained a good chunk of subscribers on her youtube channel and plenty of recognition for her voice work.
She has appeared on numerous voice acting and abridging panels, (AnimeNext, MAGfest, UCon at U-Conn, Anime Evolution, Ohayocon, etc.) and even hosted some of her own. Jessi is a member of the International Thespian Society. Jessi’s resume includes 12 years of acting, 12 years of singing, 8 years of dance, and 8 years of drum experience. She’s performed in many different musicals and plays and has an Alto singing voice. Though she’s had many singing lessons, she has never taken a lesson in voice acting.
Along with writing for Bobobo the Abridged Series and Pokémon: The ‘Bridged Series, Jessi is a writer/performer/producer for Pursuedbyabear.net where she produces a show titled “Reading is Dum.” In it, she dissects and explains books and plays required for high school English classes in a way teenagers can understand.
